A programme for Ujjwala Diwas Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (UDGSA) was held at K.C Lodge, Tuensang on April 20, organised by M/S Hang a Gas Agency with DC Tuensang, L. Jamithung Lotha as the special guest.
According to DIPR, in his speech, the DC spoke about the objectives of the programme mentioning that the programme was focused on safety, efficiency, health, environment, economic development and women empowerment.
During the programme, the assistant director food and civil supplies, Tuensang highlighted the main purpose of UjjwalaDiwas. The assistant director spoke about the importance of Aadhaar Card enrolment.
Owner of M/S Hangba Gas Agency, Hangba Chang expressed concern over the grievances faced by the villagers due to their inability to open bank accounts and the net connectivity problems. The Tuensang district BJP president also spoke during the programme and a few house wives also shared their experiences with LPG usage. The introductory speech was delivered by Ajit Kumar Sinha and the programme was chaired by manager Hangba Gas Agency, Gyan Karki. The programme ended with the distribution of LPG connections to newly selected beneficiaries by the Tuensang DC.
