Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA 2010 & 2013) Monday served a seven-day ultimatum on the state government demanding 7th ROP in line with regular state employees and to release the salary from January 2018 till date with 7th Revision Of Pay (ROP).
In a press release, NSSATA president, Penthungo Y Yanthan, and general secretary, Vinoka Sohe, cautioned that failure to address the demands, the association would initiate democratic means/mode of agitation and the government would be held solely responsible if any untoward incident occurred during the time of agitation.
Stating that it would not accept pending salary without the effect of 7th ROP, the NSSSATA cautioned all the DDOs not to counter sign the paybill, saying It said that the responsible authority they would be held responsible for doing so. NSSATA has also demanded that their salaries be paid from the state non-plan budget.
Meanwhile, the association has informed all its members to be prepared to respond to the call of the association at any given time.
