PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum, solicited the public’s cooperation so that the first phase of the ongoing road repairing works could be completed in time.
He made this appeal in Tuensang on Friday as he continues his state-wide tour to conduct on-the-spot inspections of the ongoing road repairs in different districts. He reached Tuensang on Friday and inspected the roads in Tuensang town along with the officials from PWD, Tuensang Division and also from district administration.
The minister was thoroughly briefed by department officials and he also listened to difficulties faced by the department while executing their works. Nonetheless, Tongpang Ozukum expressed satisfaction at the progress of works being done despite the many hurdles being faced by the department.
He encouraged the PWD officials and labourers to continue working with dedication so that the general public could be benefitted.
The PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum, is on a whirlwind tour of all the districts to inspect the road repairing work in all the districts. Tongpang is also conducting this tour so as to familiarize himself with PWD officials in different districts and to get first hand information about the difficulties faced in different districts.
So far, the minister and his entourage have toured the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung and now Tuensang. The Minister will visit Noklak district Saturday and his state wide tour is expected to conclude within the next couple of weeks.
