District Planning & Development Board (DBDP) Kiphire monthly meeting was held Tuesday at DC’s Conference Hall.
Minister of soil and water conservation, geology and mining V. Kashiho Sangtam, who is also the chairman of DPDB Kiphire, shared his vision to develop Kiphire district.
In this regard, he urged the officers to come up with innovative ideas and suggestions. Reminding the members that DPDB was important decision-making body to oversee the development in the district, he asked all members present at the meeting to participate by sharing their views. Some of the agendas discussed were setting of Police Outpost and creation of posts at Seyochung, Khongsa, Kiusam and Sitimi, opening of District Soil Office in Seyochung Town and Town council for Seyochung Town.
Taking part in the meeting SP Kiphire Imnalensa, highlighted the need to have police outpost in various important locations as per the proposal to help and support administration in maintaining law and order.
In his brief report on the implementation of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, ADC Kumar Ramnikant, said that programme was a convergence of various schemes where 41 villages from Kiphire has been selected. Departmental reports were given by District Evaluation Office, R&B, Medical department, Social Welfare department Education and NST.
