DC & DEO Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, has informed all the concerned government employees who have been drafted for election duty for the forthcoming Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency 2018, that all trainings for the polling personnel’s viz. presiding officer(s), 1st polling officer(s), 2nd poling officer(s), 3rd polling officer(s) and additional polling officer(s) for VVPAT for both male and female will be held at Kohima College at 10:30 a.m.
DIPR reports that the training schedules are as follows: First round training for presiding officer(s), 1st polling officer(s) and additional polling officer(s) for VVPAT will be held on May 14 while 2nd and 3rd polling officer(s) training will be on May 15.
Second round training for presiding officer(s), 1st, 2nd and 3rd polling officer(s) and additional polling officer(s) for VVPAT will be on May 19.
The third round training for presiding officer(s), 1st polling officer(s) and additional polling officer(s) for VVPAT will be conducted on May 22 while 2nd and 3rd polling officer(s) training will be on May 23.
Soundararajan has therefore directed all the concerned polling personnel detailed for election duty to attend the compulsory training without fail. Necessary action will be taken against absentees as per the Representation of the People’s Act 1950 & Conduct of Election Rules 1961.
Further all who have applied for exemption from election duty on medical grounds have been directed to appear before the Medical Board at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) on May 16 at 10 a.m. No applications will be accepted or entertained after May 16.
DC & DEO Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel through an office order has informed all polling personnel under Dimapur District detailed for election duty for the forthcoming by-election, that the 1st phase of training will be held on May 15 at Dimapur Government College.
According to DIPR, the training will be from 10 a.m to 1 p.m for presiding & 1st polling officers and from 2 p.m to 4 p.m for 2nd, 3rd & 4th polling officers.
The DC has directed the polling personnel to attend the training without fail as strict action will be initiated against absentees as per the Representation of the People’s Act 1950 & Conduct of Election Rules 1961.
DC Zunheboto has informed all polling personnel that training for all presiding officers and first polling officers, first phase will begin from May 15; second phase on May 22; and the third phase on May 24.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, through DIPR, said that the training for the second, third and fourth polling officers would be on May 16, 23 and 24 respectively at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Zunheboto. All polling personnel have been directed to submit two passport size photographs during the first phase of training. Stringent action will be initiated against wilful absentees. For women polling officials, all categories of polling officials (PRO, first polling, second polling, and third polling officials) will have a combined training during the first and second phases, i.e on May 15 and 22.
