Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Kohima, Rongsenlemla Imchen in a press note stated that the distribution of seedling or sapling by Kohima Forest Division for the year 2018-19 will commence from May 21. The seedlings shall be distributed every week on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. till July 13.
All interested parties have been informed to submit applications officially to the DFO Kohima or officer in-charge for the provision of seedlings. Organizations or individuals who do not apply will not be entertained.
Imchen also said that the number and species of the seedlings shall be provided to all parties as per the availability of the same in the central nursery.
She further stated that the department desires proper planting and judicious maintenance of the seedlings so distributed. She, therefore, asked all receiving parties to submit a report (with photographs of the plantation activities) to the division for further submission.
