In view of the Tuluni festival and to uphold the tradition and culture of the Sumi Nagas, a mass social work to clean the entire Pughoboto sub-division will be organized on July 6.
SDO (C) Pughoboto, Tiayanger Jamir, through DIPR, has directed the chairmen of all the 24 villages to chalk out the timings for the commencement of the social work in their respective villages as per the convenience of the villagers.
The village council of the respective villages will take the responsibility of supervising the social work in their villages.
In Pughoboto town, the residents will clean their respective surroundings from 7 to 9 a.m. From 10 a.m to 12 p.m. the entire town area will be cleaned.
Every household of Pughoboto town has been asked to send one adult member for the town cleanliness drive.
They are to report at town playground to EAC Pughoboto and vice chairman Adhoc Town Council.
GBs of Pughoboto town have been directed to mobilize the residents of their respective colonies/wards to participate in the social work.
Clogged drains, sweeping of town streets and filling of potholes in the town area will be done.
EAC Pughoboto will supervise the social work in Pughoboto Town. School authorities of GHS Pughoboto, Mission School Pughoboto and New Foundation School have been directed to clean the weeds and repair the fences of the plants which have been planted by their schools in the town.
Adhoc Town Council Pughoboto has been requested to arrange a pick-up for disposal of the wastes created during the social work.
