Director of Sericulture along with officers held a coordination meeting with advisor, Sericulture, Imtikumzuk on July 18 and discussed matters relating to the Department’s activities.
A DIPR report said director, Sericulture, Imtisosang Ao highlighted the on-going departmental programs of Intensive Bivoltine Sericulture Development Project, Integrated Eri Silk Development Project and Post Cocoon Project being taken up by the department with the objective of Women Empowerment and Sustainable Livelihood in the rural areas of the state. While appreciating the role of the department as a rural based economy, the advisor urged the director and all the officers to discharge their duties with sincerity and dedication. He also asked the department to frame roadmaps through surveys of areas where production and productivity could potentially be enhanced and thus improve the living conditions of the rural mass.
