
Kohima Mega dance fiesta (workshop and competition) organized by Uni-Vibes in collaboration with Ineffable Quive dance Crew began its two –day open audition at Cafe Caffeine Razhü Point, Kohima on Friday. The audition would be held from August 15 and the grand finale at Kohima on October 20.
This was announced during the press conference by The Uni-Vibes managing director-Kevy Shuya, Lamgrace Touthang, Toyi Swuro, Abel Aka Dzuthohuv, Thupudayi Chizo, Kudengoyi Lohe and other members.
The organizers informed that there would be cash prizes and gift packs for the winners, best audience award, best social media award, best team award, most elegant dancer and best costume and certificates to all the participants. Members informed that The Uni-Vibes was a non-profit organization working towards building a platform for all channels of life and was founded with a vision to expand and create a platform to empower the intellectual hearts of people from all aspects of life. They said their mission is to discover and instil the love for learning and innovative values in today’s generation.
Highlighting the objective of Kohima mega dance fiesta, members said it was to create a common platform for the upcoming young generation to explore and expand their potentials in the field of dance and music in the society. They said the event would bring about more joyful atmosphere, sparkled with more dances, cosplay, songs, beatbox and rap battles.
The verbal and empirical workshop would include b-boying, popping, krumping, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatic, choreography, K-pop, workshop dance, extreme suicide freeze. Open dance competition category include solo, duo, group and no voting.
