Children’s Science Congress workshop in Phek

 A district level workshop for teacher guides and evaluators, Children’s Science Congress, Phek 2018 was organized by Nagaland Institute of Health Environment and Social Welfare (NIHESW), Kohima on August 10, in Phek which was hosted by Phek Government College.

Children’s Science Congress is a program of the National council for science & technology communication, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. 

The first session was chaired by Dr. Neilhousano Nakhro, district academic coordinator of Phek who also gave a presentation on ‘Introduction of National Children’s Science Congress’.

Dr. Vizovol Mekro, principal, PGC and director, NIHESW gave the welcome address and also spoke about how it began in Nagaland. Forchiba Kichu, district coordinator, Phek gave a talk on the topic ‘Role of teacher guides’.

Thet second session was chaired by Forchiba Kichu. The topic ‘Role of Evaluators’ was presented by Dr. Neilhousano Nakhro and vote of thanks was pronounced by PGC vice principal Besengulie Venuh.
