CBM elects new leadership team; issues appeals

Citizen Believers Movement (CBM) held a meeting on August 18, at Living Word Centre, Circular Road, Dimapur. 

The gathering reflected on blasphemy, injustice, corruption, Christian values and promoting Christian ethical values in the church and society. 

In addition, at the meeting CBM agreed on a provisional outline of its future actions plans for the betterment of citizen believers in Nagaland. The meeting was attended by 16 members representing various denominations of Christian Churches and Christian organizations in Dimapur.

According to a press release by the CBM secretary, the new leadership team consists of Rev. G. Khing as president, Rev. Vongpong Phom, as vice president, Rev. D. James Ngullie as secretary along with three executive members and three other members.

CBM has requested all believers in Nagaland to persist in prayer for Nagaland. It also appealed to the state government to support those that were badly affected by the floods and landslides in the state. It also requested the concerned authorities to deliver speedy and quality workmanship in building the Dhansiri Bridge (Purana bazaar – Walford, Dimapur) and Half Nagarjan Bridge. 

It also requested all believers to steadfastly pray for Nagaland.
