GHS Sangkor short staffed

October 17, 2018 | by admin

A joint inspection of GHS Sangkor was undertaken by the Sangphur Students’ Union (SSU) and Yakor Students’ Union (YSU) on October 15.

A press release from SSU president, M. Chuba stated that the two student bodies interacted with the teaching faculty and students. During the inspection it was found that the school has been functioning without an Assistant Headmaster since March, 2017. The release also stated that there was no science teacher for the elementary section since 2007, thus some classes were not being taught science due to absence of the subject teacher.

In this regard, the students’ unions have appealed to the concerned authority to take cognizance of the grievances of the students and deploy adequate subject teachers at the earliest. While assuring its full cooperation and support to the school, the joint students’ union urged the teachers to perform their duty diligently and regularly. They also donated some stationeries and wall frames to the school.
