
Minister for PWD, Tongpang Ozukum inaugurated the newly constructed two storey RCC building of the office of E. E (R&B) at Tseminyu town on October 26 in the presence of R. Khing, advisor for Vety & AH and Women Resources Development.
DIPR reports that speaking at the inauguration program, Ozukum spoke about roads and said that he had special concern for constructing and maintaining proper drains. He also expressed concern about improving the roads in Tseminyu sub-division and gave an assurance that he would consider allocating more maintenance funds for Tseminyu sub-division.
With regard to the newly constructed office, the minister said that the construction was initiated by former parliamentary secretary for Housing, Er. Levi Rengma. The building was completed within the stipulated period, in 2017, for which the minister extended his appreciations towards the Housing department.
R. Khing also delivered a short speech where he requested the concerned department staff to rededicate themselves and serve the people in progressive ways. R. Khing also acknowledged his predecessor, Er. Levi Rengma for initiating the construction, which he said, is the first of its kind in Tseminyu sub-division. The advisor also requested the people to care and protect government property.
The technical report of the construction of RCC office building was presented by Er. Olemchila I. Yaden, EE PWD (H) Division 1.
Short speeches were delivered by additional secretary Housing & NH, Anoop Khinchi, and Johny G. Rengma.
The program was chaired by chief engineer PWD (H) Kohima, and a vote of thanks was offered by Er. V. Khekato Assumi E.E (R&B), Tseminyu.
The function was attended by president Rengma Hoho Kenysang Rengma, ADC Nokchasashi Ao and all Heads of Offices of Tseminyu.
