Department of Agriculture organised a farewell program in honour of retiring officers — N Henry Zeliang and L Butang Khiamniungan — both additional directors, on October 31 at Directorate Conference Hall.
A press release by the department reported that the director of agriculture, G Ikuto Zhimomi, who chaired the program, expressed happiness and congratulated the two retiring officers for completing 35 years of active service.
He lauded them for their valuable contributions at various levels during their entire service career in the department.
In the program, joint director, M. Ben Yanthan, read out the service profile of the retiring officers and joint director, C. Peter Yanthan, gave a farewell speech on behalf of the department. Voluntary speeches and a special song were delivered by officers and staff.
