
Naga People’s Front (NPF) central women wing held a consultative meeting on October 31 at mini conference hall NPF Hqs Kohima, where the house passed some resolutions.
A press release from NPF central women wing Kohima, press bureau stated that, the meeting was graced by Y. M. Yollow, legislator in-charge of central women wing and Amenba Yaden, MLA. Short speeches were delivered by Sano Vamuzo, advisor, central women wing and Hiano Lam, secretary (Central) COB assistant in-charge of central women wing.
After thorough deliberation, the following resolutions were adopted: The house resolved to support the leadership of Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu as president, Naga People’s Front (NPF) and T.R. Zeliang as leader of NPF legislature party; It appealed to all the Naga National Groups to take part in the peace talks to bring about an amicable solution and logical conclusion of the prolonged Naga issue; the house agreed to request the president, NPF to accommodate more women members in the Central Executive Council (CEC); the house also resolved to convene a consultative meeting with all divisional women wings and it also appealed to all the NPF elected people’s representatives, divisional presidents (parent body) and divisional women wings that any issue related to women wing be brought to the knowledge of the central women wing before it is submitted to the central office.
The meeting was chaired by Yanhola, general secretary (adm.), invocation was said by Hetoli Achumi, vice president, central women wing and welcome address was delivered by Tonlih Wangsa, president, women wing. Vote of thanks was given by Helena Yepthomi, general secretary women wing central.
