Sensitization meet for bankers

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organized a district level sensitization meet for bankers of Phek district on October 31. The program was attended by branch managers and field officers of SBI and NStCB of Phek district.

A press release from NABARD Phek district development manager, Imsunaro stated that Lead District Manager (LDM), SBI Phek, Birjeet Singh called upon bankers to improve lending in priority sectors. DDM NABARD, Imsunaro discussed ‘micro credit’ and gave a presentation on government sponsored programs and area development schemes formulated for the district towards improving Ground Level Credit flow in the district. Executive director CWWS, Vechulo-u Kanuo, shared on their partnership with NABARD in promotion and credit linkage of SHGs, JLGs and various developmental programs. 

A field visit was also organised to Lirhukro SHG and Merhu JLG where activities were taken up with credit support from NStCB Pfutsero branch.
