Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has strongly condemned the perpetrators involved in demanding tax for a new Church building construction.
A condemnation note from DAYO president, Aotemsu Aier and general secretary, S. Pangertoshi stated that, Dimapur Police arrested one “leacy’ Kughato Swu of Khehokhu village, from NNC/FGN regarding this case. DAYO asserted that the nabbed culprit should not be granted bail as “he had shown the highest disrespect to the Naga Churches and its believers by committing sacrilege”.
DAYO also stated that there were also other political groups whose cadres were involved in this Church construction extortion cases and the police should leave no stone unturned to arrest all those involved.
DAYO also appealed to all the right thinking citizens to raise their united voice against the menace of unlawful taxation in society. DAYO fully supports the Public Action Committee (PAC) of Naga Council and also appreciate the commendable job done by Dimapur Police, it added.
