Food and Civil Supplies, LM & CP and NSDMA, Pukhayi Assumi said that Dimapur Night Carnival was all about giving platform to youngsters to showcase their creativity and activities.
He was speaking as the special guest on the second day Thursday, Dimapur Night Carnival.
Assumi pointed out that organizers of the carnival have given the opportunity to youngsters as it was the ideal time of festivity.
He asserted that Dimapur is the only city where every Naga tribe and community from outside are settled.
“By virtue of the beauty of Nagas and landscape, today every activity of development is under developed but one day entire city of Nagaland can be a beautiful city in the world” he added.
Commenting that Nagaland is a beautiful land, he exclaimed that every VIP from central and international have commented that Nagaland has extra ordinary potential in terms of land and the people.
Assumi told the Dimapur citizens that all Nagas were still in the growing stage and conveyed message to the community to learn how to co-exist in a peaceful and harmonious manner.
He encouraged that if the community and citizen know how to respect each other than the land would have peace and grow economically.
He also ppreciated the organizers of DNC for putting up such event in bringing all communities together and hope such events would lead to prosperous society.
People, both young and old were seen on the second day of the carnival with friends and families enjoying the delicacies and playing the games.
Various artistes also took part at the open competition with panel judges Yanpo, Abel Assumi and Mengu Suokhrie. The event also featured Saronghthung, Albert, NK Naga and many others.
