Sechuku Welfare Union Pfutsero Town (SWUPT) celebrated its silver jubilee on December 28 at Pfütsero Sports Complex.
A press release from SWUPT general secretary, Vizo Lea, mentioned that the president of Chakhesang Public Oganisation (CPO), Kekhwengulo Lea was the guest speaker at the program. Lea stated that the people of Secheku area, despite having four dialects — Chokri, Poume, Khuzha, and Sumi — were united into one single body which, he said, was a symbol of unity which was the need of the hour for the present generation.
The guest speaker was of the view that Nagas had now become a broken and fragmented society, beset by selfishness. The speaker hoped that the unity shown by SWUPT would be a beacon for the Nagas at large.
The release also mentioned that more than 4000 delegates attended the program.
