Kiphire Battalion distributed medicine at Mutinkhong village on February 8.

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), elders of the village said that 22 to 23 cases of jaundice had been reported in their village and no medical facilities were available.
The Battalion Commandant’s “spontaneous action” helped bring the required medication for patients. CMO, Kiphire and MO Integral Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) were informed about the reported cases of jaundice.
Dr. Visa, MO, Likhimro PHC has been detailed to do an assessment and submit an FIR at the earliest. In the mean time, CHC, Pungro was contacted and medicines were procured from Dr. Aso and sent to Mimi by Assam Rifles for the patients.
Swift action in this regard was appreciated by the public, civil adminsitration and GBs.
