Believers Eastern Church general convention culminates

A three-day Believers Eastern Church (BEC) general convention culminated on February 15, at Agri Expo, 4th Mile Dimapur. 

A press release from, Rev. Fr. N. Khumba stated that the convention was attended by more than 22000 Church members.
H. H. Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I delivered God’s word, officiated Holy Communion and blessed the congregations. He also addressed the priests, deacons and missionaries in special sessions. During the convention, the faithful, along with all priests, and bishops expressed solidarity for the martyrs killed in Jammu & Kashmir and observed a minute of silence and offered prayers for the bereaved families of the jawans.
In the closing session, the Metropolitan said it was time for everyone to show real love towards one another and that without love, people cannot serve God and humanity. As the faithful of BEC, everyone is expected to show unconditional love for the nation and society irrespective of caste, creed and colour, he said.
The convention was attended by Bishop Justin Mor Thomas, the bishop of Kolkata; Bishop Jeremiah Mor Theodosius, the bishop of Guwahati; Bishop Joshua Mor Barnabas and bishop from Synod. Many other prominent leaders from North East India also also attended the convention.
