Unity College & HPH sign MoA

Unity College and Heritage Publishing House (HPH) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on March 2, to collaborate for a period of three years under Academic Resources for Unity College (ARUC). 

A press release from Unity College HoD department of History, Dr. Temjenwabang, stated that the agreement was signed by R.K. Thakur, vice principal of Unity College and Dr. Lanusangla, publisher, Heritage Publishing House.

The IQAC research cell of Unity College, in collaboration with Heritage Publishing House, also initiated the first Unity Lecture Series as empowered by the MoA.  

The talk was organised by the departments of History and Political Science. 

Resource person of the program, St. Joseph University, Nagaland, department of Political Science, assistant professor Dr. Salikyu Sangtam, lectured on the topic, “The re-evaluation of the existing hill narrative”. He also dissected a series of approaches on the question of Naga Identity and understanding the self in context “to changing political paradigms and social landscapes.”

The event was chaired by IQAC member Dr. Tabassum Khan and later vote of thanks was proposed by Unity College department of History assistant professor Thungbeni Humtsoe.
