Trg programme for anganwadi workers

National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) Regional Centre, Navi Mumbai organized a training programme for the Anganwadi workers in collaboration with the office of Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Nagaland and Cherry Blossoms Society, Kohima at PHQ conference hall, P.R. Hill, Kohima on March 11

The programme was held on the “early identification and intervention for children with disabilities”. Officer in charge Regional Centre, Navi Mumbai Dashrath Choudhari delivered the keynote address and Commissioner Disability Nagaland Diethono Nakro presented the status of disability of Nagaland. 
The programme was also addressed by joint director Social Welfare Atoli Sema.  
Resource person Dashrath spoke on the topic “Prevention, Early Identification and Intervention of Disabilities”,  Dr. Gnanavel K on “ Communication Aspects of Children with Developmental Delays” , and Ravi Prakash Singh on “Developmental Disabilities: Issues & Challenges and Role of Anganwadi Workers”
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Purnima Kayina Cherry Blossoms while vote of thanks was said by Dr. Gnanavel K. Asst Prof CRC Davengere Karnataka.
Around 75 Anganwadi Workers from Jakhama block and Kohima urban block attended the training programme.
