Tobu was declared Mon district’s aspirational block during the monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Mon, held on March 15 at the DC’s Conference Hall.
DIPR reports that in the meeting, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, welcomed newly posted officers and the house recommended the creation of a Health Care Centre in the newly recognized L. Mongnyu village.
Thavaseelan who is also the District Election Officer, Mon spoke about the coming Lok Sabha elections and directed all officers to be at station. Trainings will be conducted in three phases, he stated. The Konyak Union general secretary highlighted the Aoleang festival for which various events like cultural exhibition, pulling of Log drum, folk dance and songs etc. have been planned.
Chief Medical Office Mon, Dr. Kechongol Sophie, expressed his gratitude for the successful conduct of the polio immunization on March 10.
