Hakushang Sector Youth (HSY) Tuensang organized a career guidance seminar on April 13 at Hakushang Sector Community Hall with PGT GHSS Thangjam Tuensang, O. Akhum and M/S General Tuensang, Pangsha Chingmak as resource persons.
A press release from HSY Tuensang president, K. Limiwi Sangtam and general secretary, B. Kundang stated that O. Akhum, in his address said that youth should set life goals because without goals, people perish. Then, to achieve such goals, one needs support oneself with interest, a good attitude, aptitude and with integrity, he added. Akhum also encouraged the youth to set a “Smart” goal — specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound.
Pangsha Chingmak, speaking on career, dwelt on foundation and planning one’s own career and some examinations that could be cracked to build a career such as the UPSC, NPSC, NDA and JEE. He also encouraged dropout students to employ themselves after learning from vocational courses.
The program was chaired by HSY Tuensang, executive secretary, Muthong; invocation was offered by assistant finance secretary, Y. Naro; a welcome note was delivered by president, K Limiwi; the vote of thanks was proposed by Haulim; and the closing prayer was said by fellowship secretary, Amen.
