BSF chief reviews security in Nagaland

Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Rajni Kant Mishra accompanied by ADG, BSF (Eastern Command), Sanjeev Kumar Singh, visited Nagaland on April 22 to review the security and operational preparedness in the state where BSF has been deployed. 

According to PA to commandant 93 Bn BSF, the DG landed at the battalion headquarters of 111 Bn BSF, Satakha and was received by IG BSF M&C frontier, Dr. K C Mahali along with DIG SHQ BSF CI (Ops) Manipur, Anand Singh, and  commandant 111 Bn BSF, Sanjeev Sharma. 

The DG reviewed the domination plan of the unit and expressed satisfaction on the operations preparedness of the battalion and also lauded the troops for performing their duty in professional manner by taking the local people along. 

He was also briefed on the operational and other roles of the BSF. Later, the DG interacted with the officers and personnel posted at Satakha and listened to their grievances.

He reminded the troops to perform the duties in a professional manner as per the expectation of the nation. 

He also emphasized the need to win the hearts and minds of local people by providing information and enabling local people take benefits of different government programmes.

Earlier, the DG also interacted with the local ex- BSF retired personnel and elders of the area. 

The DG also called on Nagaland governor, P B Acharya wherein the governor acknowledged and appreciated the work carried out by BSF.
