The new village gate of Khriezephe was inaugurated on May 2 with the unveiling of the plaque by Block Development Office (BDO), RD Block Chümoukedima, Sashirenla Imchen and a dedicatory prayer by pastor Velazo Shijoh.
In the programme, the welcome address was delivered by Khriezephe village chairman, Kute Kapfo.
In her speech, the BDO highlighted the upcoming programmes under MGNREGA and GPDP and various programmes for the village communities.
She encouraged the village leaders to work harder by leaving aside any lackadaisical attitude so that the village could progress.
The BDO also appealed to the village leaders to finish their given projects on time.
During the programme, the history of Khriezephe village and the victories and struggles of the village was highlighted by advocate and president of Tenyimia Peoples Organisation Timikha Koza. Later, vote of thanks was delivered by VDB secretary Tepu Khieya and the programme ended with a benediction by pastor, Kezhangulie.
