Mar Gregorios Orthodox Syrian (MGOS) Church, Dimapur and St. Thomas Mission Society (STMS) felicitated HSSLC rank holders and school toppers of MGM Higher Secondary School (MGMHSS) at its Church on May 5.
A press release from MGOS Church media cell stated that, Raj Kumar M, currently serving as divisional forest officer (DFO) of Zunheboto graced the felicitation programme as special guest. Rev Fr. Dr. P S Varghese, vicar and principal of MGM HSS stated that the toppers of the school will get 50% concession in admission fees if they wish to continue further education in the institution. MGMHSS offers arts, science and commerce streams in higher secondary.
Suhana Begum, state 1st rank holder from Commerce stream and Shingke Poangmai C, state 2nd rank holder from Arts Stream, Bemang Mensa C, Class 10, Alternative English, state topper along with school toppers and distinction holders in HSLC and HSSLC exams and teachers were felicitated with a total cash award of Rs. 60,000 and gifts.
The felicitation address was delivered by Raj Kumar M, B. Paul, headmaster, MGMHSS, V.A Jose, president, Kerala Samajam etc.
Welcome speech was delivered by Kukku Marin Mathew, secretary, MGOS Church, Dimapur, presidential address by Rev. Fr Dr.P S Varghese and song presentation by MGM hostellers, Nethan and Jowan were the highlights of the programme. Trustee of MGOS church, Reji Kuriakose delivered vote of thanks.
