ProRural supported by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) started skill training programme on dish wash, soap and detergent at Nsong block under Peren district from May 15.
A press release from ProRural stated that women secretary of Zeme Baptist Association (ZBA), Joshila exhorted the trainees and encouraged them to avail the opportunities and form groups to start up home base business even though it might not be that profitable but to meet the requirements for the village community.
The main objective of the training is to create livelihood opportunities to the marginalised community by imparting skills which can generate income in a sustainable way.
Altogether 35 participants have registered and have started their training.
