
Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland (RBCAN) organised a teachers’ training on Christian education at RBCBC Dimapur with Dr. Adela Mero, director and Vesakulu Sapu, counselor and research assistant of Resource Center, Dimapur as guest facilitators on June 22.
A press release from RBCAN executive secretary, Mathiuthai Gonmei stated that, during the training Dr. Mero focused more on the character of a Christian teacher, while Sapu spoke on the importance of creative teachings.
She also highlighted different methods of teaching. The training also has a session on making crafts and other activities.
In the introductory session, Mathiuthai Gonmei, executive secretary of RBCAN highlighted the background of Christian education with special focus on ministry with the children.
He said that ministry with the children was the basis for personality, spiritual, leadership and even nation building.
The programme was attended by 64 participants from different churches and fellowships under RBCAN and concluded with an underlining statement that “as teachers we should be very careful to practice what we teach.”
