As part of Nuiland Block Convergence Action Plan (BCAP) for June to August, Nuiland ICDS project, in convergence with CHC Nuiland, organised awareness programme on health and nutrition of adolescent girls at ADC conference hall, Nuiland on July 22.
A press release by member secretary, BCAP committee, Akali Sema, stated that resource person, MO, Dr. Merang Ao, spoke on the topics of health care of the adolescent girls, between the 10 to 19 years.
Soaps were distributed and proper hand washing steps were demonstrated to encourage hygienic hand wash practice.
The programme was chaired by supervisor, Zipila Sangtam and vote of thanks by supervisor, Nyusasie Katiry.
Altogether, 41 adolescent girls participated in the awareness programme, the release stated.
