SH, frontal bodies flay Aug 7 incident

Sumi Hoho and its frontal organization held an emergency meeting on August 11 in connection with the August 7 incident. 

In a press note, SH general secretary Nikheto Jimomi said the house vehemently condemned the barbaric inhuman act of security personnel as well as physical assault of Zunheboto Sumi Totimi Hoho (ZSTH) mothers who tried to intervene and the inhumane torture meted out on Hito, who was arrested by Assam Rifles.

The house resolved to reiterate the FIR lodged by ZSTH and urged the concern investigation authority to speed up the probe. 

Further, the house also resolved to submit a representation to Governor seeking his intervention in connection with the 32 Assam Rifles, misconduct against public on August 7 at Zunheboto.
