
St. Paul’s Catholic Church (SPCC) Wokha observed Bible Sunday at the parish church with Eucharistic celebration led by Rev. Fr. A.D. Jose on August 25.
A press release from SPCC Wokha member Yanrenthung J Humtsoe stated that marking the importance of the Bible, Rev. Fr A.D. Jose in his homily urged the congregation to accept the word of God and become part of it. He expressed sorrow on the abusive use of mobile phones for long hours and failing to read the Word of God.
He further encouraged the congregation to develop interest reading the Bible everyday and willingly.
The programme concluded with the second session chaired by asst. catechist, Chopathung Kikon followed by a note of introductory from catechist, Limhathung Patton. Note on the importance of Bible was delivered by J. Wolumi Humtsoe followed by a hymn from the hostellers.
There was also Bible skit competition wherein Airfield, High School and NST were adjudged first, second and third position. Special number was presented by Nlibemo and Sorenbeni Kikon.
