
A one-day Start-up Nagaland Boot Camp, organised by department of Industries and Commerce, was held at EBRC Hall, Longleng on Saturday with Joel Pucho as the resource person.
While presenting power point on Start-up Boot Camp, Joel Pucho said that Start-up Boot Camp is a flagship programme initiated by the Government of India, which intends to build a strong eco-system for nurturing innovations and Start-ups so that it can drive sustainable economic growth and generate large scale employment opportunities.
In order to meet the objectives of the initiative, Government of India Action Plan that addresses all aspects of the Start-up ecosystem has been announced, said the resource person. “With this action plan, the government hopes to accelerate spreading of the Start-up movement, from digital technology sector to a wide array of sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, social sector, healthcare, education etc,” added Pucho.
He also said that ‘Start-up India in Nagaland’ would facilitate start-ups to access the various resources of the ‘Start-up Eco System’ available in the state. He, therefore, encouraged the young entrepreneurs, students, businessmen etc to avail the assistance provided by the government to equip the unemployed youth start their own business.
At the programme, several participants presented their own innovative ideas for Start-up India Nagaland, wherein three group winners were selected. The winners will represent the district at the State level ‘Start-up Nagaland’ competition. Cash prize along with merit certificate were awarded to the winners.
The program was chaired by Angtok Phom, IOI DIC, Longleng while vote of thanks was delivered by Putin Phom, IOI DIC, Longleng.
