
ATMA Botsa block, Kohima, conducted training on piggery management at Tsiemekhuma village on September 7, with resource person as BTM, Dr. Vibeilie Keretsu. A press release from ATMA Botsa Block, Kohima, stated that the training consisted of components under piggery management such as selection of good breed or quality piglets to ensure faster growth rate, high meat quality and disease resistance ability. Participants were also taught on importance of culling of animals, castration of piglets, segregation of diseased animals and also to maintain record keeping. The resource person further demonstrated on administration of vitamin and some de worming tablets and the same were distributed to participants.
