
Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi organised a Cultural Evening at Raj Bhavan on October 2.
On the occasion, Governor and the Chief Minister along with their lady wives performed the ceremonial act for lighting of lamp in honour of 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The event was marked by the appearance of Purple Fusion from Nagaland and Vidushi Sneh Lata Mishra and her team from New Delhi. Mishra and Rashmi Bhatt enthralled the audience with their enchanting performances on classical Indian music popularly known as Bhajans and Ghazals, and Kathak recital along with the team members. Both the artists were known to have performed not only in India but also at international level on different occasions and events.
Chief Secretary Nagaland, Temjen Toy delivered the keynote address while Commissioner & Secretary to Governor, T. Mhabemo Yanthan proposed vote of thanks.
Ministers, advisors and a host of dignitaries attended the cultural evening hosted by Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi and his lady wife, Laxmi Ravi.
