DoSE inspects schools in Kiphire and Phek

Team of officials from Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland  Education Mission Society,  School Education department  toured Kiphire and Phek districts  from September 30 to October 2.  

A press release from Samagra Shiksha Nagaland stated that, the team led by  the  state  mission director,  Kevileno Angami, was accompanied by Dr. Kevizakie Rio, joint mission  director,  Kelhikha Kenye, assistant mission director,  Imlikokla Christine, state coordinator and officials from the Engineering wing. The team inspected and verified the ongoing projects, schools and interacted with the students, teaching faculty, public leaders and officials of the villages and at the district level. The team visited GPS in Thanamir established in 1967, GHSS in Salomi, GHSS at Pungro   established in 1973, GMS, GPS, KGBV, ongoing Model School construction and visited the proposed site for construction of the girls’ hostel at Pungro.  

These facilities in the pipeline are being created to provide accessibility for children of the nearby villages to mid/high schools at Pungro. Team also visited GHSS Meluri, GHSS Pfutsero and GMS, Zapami village. GHSS Pfutsero and GMS Zapami  village are two schools observed to be ahead of the other   government schools both in terms of infrastructure, facilities, teaching quality and learning outcomes due to partnership of committed teachers and strong community participation in the management of schools.
