Exhibition-cum-Art festival in Dimapur

 Five-day, Art festival supported by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) commenced on Tuesday at SC-33, supermarket, town hall, Dimapur. 

Gracing the inaugural programme and unveiling the theme, “The environment I dream” as special guest as Dimapur Municipal (DMC) administrator, Albert Ezung lauded the initiative of the organizers for bringing the artist together into one platform. 

“Art is a creation of innovative ideas and expression” Ezung said adding that art plays a vital role in human society and display about the new evolvement. 

“We talk about change, development and progress in terms of materialism but what is important is quantitative change, we need to change our mindset, they way we conduct and carry our-self forward,” said Ezung.  He encouraged the participants to take advantage of the stage.  He also encouraged them to excel in what they pursue as excellence was the keyword and that there was no place for average. Ezung also asked them to be bold and come out of the comfort zone t. 

Eastern Art council coordinator, M Ababe Ezung asserted that it was the first of its kind and the main purpose of the event was to bring about artist together, where they can interact and display their work.  He also informed them to focus on showcasing their exhibition at higher levels, even at the upcoming Hornbill festival.  He also appealed to the general public to come and witness the festival so as to encourage the artist. He further said that during the festival, live art caricatures from various artists, painting competition and face competition will be displayed.  The festival will culminate on October 19.
