In a fresh traffic advisory, the Kohima police Tuesday informed that light vehicles going down from Kohima to Dimapur and vice versa would be diverted to Jotsoma bypass road while heavy vehicles till six-wheel and passenger buses would have to take Tsiesema-10th mile-Peducha road. Kohima police PRO said the new arrangement has been made to facilitate reconstruction of Dzuda (hydro) bridge, which has partially collapsed due to continuous rain, and repairing of the old KMC dumping area stretch on NH-29. PRO said all heavy vehicles would be restricted to ply along that route. Kohima police have requested the commuters to bear the inconvenience and obey the advisory till further notice.
