KVK Peren launches PKVY at Bongkolong village

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Peren under ICAR Research Complex for NER Nagaland Centre, Medziphema launched and conducted awareness programme on Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) on November 20 at Bongkolong Village, Athibung Block.

A press release by KVK Peren stated that the programme was initiated to promote organic farming through cluster approach. 
KVK Peren said the theme and objective of PKVY for organic farming with production of agricultural products free from chemicals and pesticides residue by adopting eco-friendly with low cost technologies was presented by Dr. Patu K Zeliang. 
The gathering was also briefed on the programmes and activities to be undertaken under PKVY like group formation, registration, certification marketing of organic produce and funds utilization by Z James Kikon. The programme chaired by Dr. Babita Devi ended with a group discussion where queries of farmers regarding the PKVY scheme and implementation were clarified.
