Luthur Village Guard celebrated its golden jubilee on November 28 at Luthur village under Pungro sub- division, Kiphire on the theme “Honoring the selfless past”. The celebration was graced by deputy commandant V.G. Kiphire, E. Wamei Konyak as special guest. Speaking on the occasion, the special guest encouraged the VG personnel to render their valuable services towards the cause of the peoples. Wamei further saluted them for their act of bravery and sacrifices. The special guest also unveiled the jubilee monolith.
Other who spoke at the function included, Shellumthong former vice president YTC, S. Kiusumew Yimchungru president PFPSD, T. Shilimthong executive chairman YTC, J.B. Shahoto president PSGU, K.
