SHC day observed in Mkg, Peren

Soil health card (SHC) day was observed in Mokokchung and Peren with an aim to create awareness, importance, values and benefits of the SHC scheme.

Mokokchung: Department of soil and water conservation, Mokokchung celebrated “soil health card day” on February 19 at Mopungchuket village, under Kubolong block, with Renbomo Ngullie, ACTO, KVK, Yisemyong, Mokokchung as the resource person.

Peren: With the rest of the country, district soil conservation office celebrated soil health card (SHC) day on February 19.

Staff of the department reached out to villages like New Jalukie, Heningkunglwa, Lilen, Tening under four blocks of Peren district to create awareness and disseminate importance of SHC by distributing pamphlets in local dialects Zeme, Liangmai, Kuki and Rongmei of the districts.

Under New Jalukie village, SHC day was celebrated in collaboration with KVK Peren with Patu K. Zeliang, ACTO KVK, Peren as resource person and the remaining three villages by departmental staff.
