Kohima BS&G observes ‘World Thinking Day’

Kohima District Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) observed the “World Thinking Day” also known as the “Founders Day” on February 22 under the theme, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” at the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides state headquarters, Bayavü Hill Kohima. 

A press release by BS&G informed that “World Thinking Day” is observed annually on February 22 under different themes by the Scout and Guide organizations all over the World.
The day commemorates the birthday of both the founder of Scouting Movement Lord Baden Powell- Chief Scout of the World and his wife Lady Olave Baden Powell- Chief Guide of the World.
The programme was chaired by district training commissioner (scout) Kohima, R. R. Apollos; guide captain Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kenei Solo, welcomed the gathering; significance of the day was shared by Kohima district organising commissioner (scout), Khriesanyü Pienyü and vote of thanks was delivered by district guider Kohima, Roshmi Rana. 
The gathering also reaffirmed the Scouts and Guide promise and sang the Scout & Guide taps. Scouts and Guides from different troops and companies along with unit leaders, district officials and state officials attended the programme.
