
Alpine Open Scout and Guide Unit (AOSGU) Kohima organized an awareness programme on “COVID-19” and conducted “free being me” activities for the scouts and guides, rovers and rangers of the unit at Botanical Garden premises Kohima on March 10.
A press release from AOSGU Kohima stated that, scouts and guides were sensitized on origin of COVID-19, its symptoms, how it is being spread, its prevention and took pledge to spread the awareness.
Participants learnt leadership skills and feeling empowered to make a difference in their local and global communities. Programme was attended by 50 scouts, guides, rovers, rangers, unit leaders from the unit along with 2 FBM trainers.
“Free being me” is an innovative educational programme for young boys and girls of 5 to 18 years age created by World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scout in partnership with Dove Self Esteem Programme Project.
