
The India Air Force, IL-76 MD aircraft on Saturday ferried the second consignment of medical supplies related to COVID-19 for Health department and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
The 5-tonne, consignment which arrived Dimapur airport, will be transported to Kohima for further distribution to other districts, a DIPR report stated. The IL-76 MD 44 Squadron Chandigarh base Unit which landed at Dimapur further proceeded to Imphal. The state government has thanked the IAF for the help rendered to Nagaland in the fight against COVID-19.
The first batch of critical medical supplies were flown in on March 30 by IAF C130 J Super Hercules heavy-lift aircraft.
