
State government has acknowledged the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) offer to pay for the cost of rail tickets of stranded citizens. In a letter to NPCC president K Therie, the state chief secretary Temjen Toy expressed gratitude for offer, which he said “reaffirms the singular task that lies ahead of us.” Informing about the state cabinet’s decision to facilitate the movement of stranded citizens, Toy said that the state government had also taken the decision to bear the railway charges of the journeys from the rest of the country and also within the state.
In order to implement this massive exercise in a successful manner, he said that the empowered committed on Covid-19 headed by the additional chief secretary has formulated a detailed action plan.
Toy informed that ever since the declaration of the pandemic and the announcement of a national lockdown, the state government had established a central integrated control centre located in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat under the nomenclature of Covid-19 War Room Nagaland.
He informed NPCC president that all details of the initiatives of the state government could be obtained from Covid-19 dashboard: covidl9.nagaland.gov.in and welcome his suggestions.
