May 19: 1316 return to state

As per the consolidated report from the reception Centre at Agri Expo Dimapur  quarantine centre, a total of 1316 stranded citizens reached Nagaland on May 19. According to DIPR, 674 were from Dimapur district, Peren-16, Mon-195, Kohima- 159, Mokokchung- 67, Phek- 58, Zunheboto- 13, Tuensang-34, Kiphire-12, Longleng-  13  and Wokha-30.

State principal secretary Abhijit Sinha in his daily briefing on COVID-19 situation in the state said Rs 10,000 had been paid as one-time financial assistance to each of the 1,071 persons of Nagaland who have been stranded at different locations of the country and have opted not to return. The payment had cost the State exchequer Rs 1.07 crore, he claimed.

Also, altogether 1,002 persons are currently being monitored through nCOVID-19 Nagaland-Visitors app, he added. Further, he said the State Cabinet held a meeting on Tuesday and received briefings from the home department on the various measures presently in force.
