As per the notice of the district administration and police, Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has informed that autorickshaws will start playing in “Odd-Even system”.
In a press release, DDADU, president, Tito Yepthomi has informed that the system will be effective from June 17, 2020. Autos with registration numbers ending with 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are to ply on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while registration number with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0 are to ply on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
DDADU has also issued the following guidelines: autos are to ply from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; only two passengers will be allowed per auto; sanitizers, face mask and a partition between the driver and the passengers and social distancing to be maintained.
Further, DDADU has warned of strict action against defaulting drivers. It has asked all drivers to cooperate.
