
A pharmacist from Chümoukedima area tested positive for COVID-19 on July 15 and has been shifted to the designated COVID-19 Care Centre.
According to official sources, the pharmacist’s first sample was collected on July 13 that came out positive on July 15, while a second test would be conducted on him after 14 days.
The family members have been kept in isolation and their samples collected for RT-PCR tests, and results were awaited.
Following this, sources further said that the Health department, as per protocol, has also activated contact tracing.
