DC Wokha notifies on compensation along NH-61

 Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha, Orenthung Lotha the assessment of the damaged properties National Highway-61 which was made “earlier” has been declared “null and void”.

According to DIPR report, DC Wokha notified that “as per Chief Engineer, PWD (NH) Nagaland, regarding the widening of the existing single/intermediate lane road to 2-lane road from KM 72.40 to KM 83.00 on NH-61 under Wokha district, the assessment of the damaged properties made earlier have been declared null and void vide DC Office orderNO.DCW/LR-15/NH-2/2018/979-3 dated June 22, 2020”.

The DC Wokha said assessment of the damage compensation of the structures was likely to be effected along the project stretch (KM 72.40 to KM 83.00).

The DC Wokha said the assessment would be carried out by the committee constituted on September 2 as per the given schedule.

The schedule for the assessment is as follows: Niropen Gate- PWD Colony on September 14, 8 a.m.; PWD Colony- Police point on September 15, 8 a.m.; Police point- NST Colony on September 16, 68 a.m. and NST Colony- Hammock Resort on Sepetmber 17, 8 a.m.

The DC Wokha has requested the concerned village council chairman, colony chairman and GBs along with the land owners to be present on the schedule date and to co-ordinate and extend cooperation to the survey team.
